Payment & Deposits:
To secure your booking you will need to pay a deposit. For single bookings it is 50% of the total fee. For group bookings of 3 or more it is 25% of the total fee.
Please note that your date is not confirmed until the deposit has been paid.
Deposits are non refundable under 7 days before your appointment (for bridal it is under 30 days), unless otherwise arranged with the artist. Under special circumstances, the deposit may be transferred to a rescheduled appointment.
By paying the deposit, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions set by the artist.
Full payment is due 7 days prior to your appointment. Failure to make payment by the due date may result in your appointment being cancelled. I will always reach out to you first though.
Late, No-show & Cancellations:
Being late to your appointment will result in a reduced service at full cost to the client. Please keep in mind that I may have clients after you, so I cannot always be lenient on time.
No- shows will not receive a refund.
If you cancel your appointment under 7 days before the scheduled appointment, you will not receive a refund of your deposit. For bridal clients you cannot cancel under 30 days from your event.
If the artist cancels your appointment due to a personal matter a full refund will be given. If the artist has cancelled due to safety or hygiene reasons caused by the client, a refund will not be issued.
Contraindications:
A contraindication is a condition or factor that may prevent you from performing a makeup application, as it may cause harm. This is important as when applying makeup in a non-suitable area you can increase the risk of infection, or spread it. Some conditions may be contagious and some are not.
Examples include: cold sores, conjunctivitis, open sores, ringworm, sunburn, broken skin, eczema, psoriasis, cystic acne.
Please let your artist know if you have any known contraindications.
In the event that you have a contraindication that is contagious but still allows for makeup to be applied, the artist may use disposable applicators to avoid contaminating their products and tools and reduce the risk of spreading the contraindication to other clients.
Contraindications where the makeup service can still be completed with some adjustments:
Eczema/psoriasis
Cystic acne
Sunburn (be aware that the makeup may not adhere)
Freshly waxed skin (be aware that the makeup may not adhere)
Cold sores (the area may be avoided or disposables may be used)
Broken skin/open sores (the area may be avoided or disposables may be used)
Contraindications where a service cannot be completed:
Conjunctivitis
Ringworm
Covid
The flu
If the client has not disclosed a contraindication prior to their appointment and the artist deems that it is not safe to perform their services, no refund will be issued.
Travel:
Travel fees will apply to all appointments outside of the artists studio. The rates are calculated at $0.86 per kilometre from Reservoir. A minimum of $15 applies.
Any parking fees that are required will be covered by the client.
Changes to your location after the appointment has been confirmed may incur a higher travel fee.
Travel interstate will be billed to the client including: air fares, transport to accomodation, accommodation, meals.
Client Responsibility:
The client must, where reasonably possible, follow the artists instructions.
If you choose to go against the advice of the artist and you are not happy with the results, you, the client, are liable.
Please let the artist know if you have any accessibility needs and how they can best assist you during your service.
Please let the artist know if you are unhappy with your service. We are here to make you feel special and are happy to adjust things, within reason, to make sure you feel your absolute best.
Please don’t touch the artists kit without permission. If this is ignored and products are contaminated, the client will be held responsible and charged to replace the product.
If on location, the client must provide a safe environment for the artist to work in. If the artist deems the space unsafe to work in, the artist has the right to refuse service with no refund.
On location, where possible please provide a space that includes a bench or table, a chair, access to a power point, access to running water, access to natural lighting. In the event these are not available, please let the artist know in advance and they will prepare accordingly.
If at any stage during the appointment the artist feels unsafe or threatened, they have the right to refuse service and ask you to leave or leave themselves.
While in the artists studio, the client agrees to follow all instructions outlined by the artist and respect the space.
Early Start
If your appointment starts before 7am an early start fee of $50 will apply.
Last Minute Changes
Last minute changes to the number of clients cannot always be fulfilled.
For group bookings & bridal parties, numbers need to be confirmed 2 weeks before your appointment. Reduction in numbers under that time period will not be refunded.
Last minute changes to location may incur higher travel fees.
Please check with your artist as soon as you are aware of any changes.
